Venturesome offers more investments than ever!

This month CAF Venturesome offered investment to nine charities, ranging in value from £40k-£160k.  No such thing as the summer ‘silly season’ for us, we’ve been busier than ever!

The rise in demand appears to be due to increasing awareness of the opportunities available and greater understanding of the benefits that borrowing money can unlock.  This is great news for the sector, as it shows the idea of accessing loans and capital is really taking root as a viable option for charities and social enterprises.  

Our increasing flow of deals also demonstrates there are investable opportunities out there, the lack of which is frequently cited as one of the major ‘challenges’ to the social investment market.

Venturesome can provide a range of investment, from loans that bridge to confirmed funding (such as a grant or contract paid in arrears), to development capital for scaling up or expansion.
